BJ Averell had his golden birthday while on the Amazing Race. In Australia, after an epic three-way footrace down the hill to the dock at Lake Bennett, the final four Teams had a relaxing Pit Stop before the hectic penultimate leg began. BJ, Tyler, Eric, Jeremy, Joseph and Ray all chilled out in a jacuzzi while Monica and Yolanda brought them delicious Australian specialties such as "Perth Prisonbreaks," "Beach Eroders," and "Tandem Slammers." The eight remaining Racers enjoyed a gorgeous sunset BBQ and sang birthday songs while imagining what adventures awaited them in the next magic yellow envelope.

BJ now lives in Hollywood with one of his best friends from college, American Idol finalist and former British boy band star Tom Lowe. They recently founded the Clever Bunny Academy, providing tutoring and music lessons to the children of Los Angeles (with the assistance of Mr. Bobo).
