At barely 21, Andrew Hyde was the youngest person to compete on THE AMAZING RACE (excluding Family Edition) with his father Dennis. Andrew is openly gay and his father is a Conservative Southern Baptist. Despite the harsh conditions of the Race, this father and son came back closer than ever before.

Now 26, Andrew has spent over five years working with the young GLBT (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgendered) community in Ohio and Kentucky doing HIV Prevention Education and Testing and Counseling at AIDS Resource Center Ohio as well as helping young folks with self esteem issues, family relationship building and substance abuse.

Andrew has spoken around the country at Universities and events on a platform for the support of the young GLBT Community. Andrew has spoken at gay pride rallies, faith based events, and fundraisers for HIV/AIDS Services and Education and appeared in numerous magazines for his continued work with this demographic.

Andrew is currently traveling extensively again shooting a new Gay Travel Show in his spare time called Take On! and enjoys part time projects modeling/acting and coaching cheerleading with the Jags in Tipp City, Ohio. Andrew was the International Male Dancer of the Year in 2004 in Los Angeles and Cheerleading National Champion in 2005.

Andrew loves going to the movies, Mexican food, playing with his dog Lucky, hanging with his close knit group of friends and spending time in Ohio with his boyfriend.
