Hey all! Terry here from Tom N Terry’s Commentary:

Just came back from Ponte Vedra Beach and finally have a chance to give my final thoughts.

I was so happy for TK and Rachel, and I loved the part where they said how “staying calm is” what they do “to be successful”. It certainly worked!

I also felt bad though when Nicolas and Donald left the bag at the shop, but it did come across as if they really made up the time to get to the final road block.

And I was so happy to see at least for this finale, a true physical detour. Yeah! It reminded me of when we had to scale the rock in Vietnam. It was then that I truly felt that TK and Rachel with their youth could make up the time. I was also surprised with how easy it was for the older (Ronald and Donald) versus the younger (Christina and Nicolas) racers with this detour.

Now as for the final road block, LOVED IT ! It was so great to see all three teams competing together literally for the final go ahead to the final pit stop, instead of the typical two. And when Rachel finished and ran away, it was sad to see Nicolas looking semi-depressed and mentally exhausted with this task.

And once again, hellllooo? I said it at the very beginning and I want to confirm that I was right about this. When Ronald told Christina that she was “number one” to him, that just sealed it for me. Ronald, you’ve got class. And what a nice way to end the pit stop, by changing his t-shirt before running up to Phil with a “Whose your daddy” shirt.

Congrats also to Donald for being the oldest ever to make it so far.

But my all time favorite moment was hearing TK say that “nice guys do finish first”. That is how it should be.

As a final note, congrats to every single racer this season and a huge thank you to Bertram, Elise, and Jonathan for making this a truly enjoyable season.

That’s all for now.

Whew, it has taken me this long to recover from all the shots that were bought for my by Marianna and Julia! What a gorgeous bunch of racers...
Went to the Finale party on the west coast...and here's the scoop!
Ari and Staella were working the other side of the room, every time I wandered over to their side, WE SWITCHED PLACES! I never really go to speak to them...I had a lot of questions too! Anyvay...Kate and Pat were just too nice, we shared some nice stories and as usual, there is never enough time to chat...you hear that girls! Chat me up sometime! Hendekea had invited us up to Long Beach a week earlier to her party for the next to last episode, from the pix, I SHOULDA GONE! PS She is totally sweet! If Lorena was there...I didn't get to talk to her either! I was too busy drinking and sharing villain stories with Jennifer and Nathan. I have to tell you I was smitten within two seconds of apologizing for my antics here on the blog. This couple is soo much fun. Probably we see the Race from the same perspective. I want to thank them here for all the stupid race questions while they were trying to watch the show. We had a great time...at least I did! A few other seasoned racers were there: Winners first-James and his side-kick...okay I can't remember his name! ok-Tyler, snerk. I had a nice conversation with them considering I asked both of them if they had any money left! They were both gentleman and deferred to the IRS. Chip and Kim who along with the organizers of this event do a lot to get this party going every season. A favorite of the OC crowd, Chip did the honors once again of asking the tough questions at the Q&A after the show was over. Nice Job...his lovely wife Kim was, as always, LOVELY! Victoria and Jonathan were down from their hectic Hollywood lives! They both looked every bit the part of a glam couple. I chatted with Victoria and got some inside scoop on the "Girls Next Door" You will have to watch...I cannot divulge!
BJ was also bounding around the room. I almost didn't recognize him! He has slimmed down and shaved most of his hairs! He looked great also...what wonders a million dollars can make! Doyin and I had some good laughs it has been almost two years since we last saw each other...or was it his brother...oy!
And the best time was had seeing the happy MARRIED couple Amie and Paul! It has been at least three years since I last saw Amie and Paul at the Newport Beach Film Festival. They now are acting AND producing films!
What a great time. Sorry if I left anyone out...I must have spoken to you after my third glass of Chardonnay!

Now when are we going to see cycle 13????
CBS my toe is tapping!
See you next season, unless of course, we aren't invited back!

Hey Everyone; Tom here.
I am going to have TAR Withdrawal tomorrow night. Can't wait for Season 13 to begin.

Congrats again to TK and Rachel and congrats to all of the final 3 teams. Making it that far in the race is quite an accomplishment for any team, so kudos to all of you. Terry and I wish we could have met Ron and Christina and Gramps & Nick too. If you come to NYC, please give us a call! You were all amazing.

The finale was awesome...I can't imagine how the final three teams felt in that last challenge when all of the teams were there.

TAR Con in NYC was incredible. This show has the best fans.

From watching this season, it is clear that this race continues to be life canging for racers. It is so much more than the $1 million top prize (although that would be nice!) What a unique experience we have had and it's been fun to relive our experience by watching this season and blogging with you all.

I think this was the best blog ever, so thanks to you guys for making it fun.

Till next time,

T N T

Congrats to TK and Rachel for a great win. They kept their composure all the way. It really seems to be the most valuable attribute. I too was disappointed when Gramps didn't get the win, but still impressed with him tackling the ice wall so strongly and being the oldest person to race the whole thing through. I hope I look that good at 69.

So much Model bashing in the world today! I think Tyler and I will probably be the last alpha model team to win race. Lately, the race has been less physical, with other factors being the pivotal force, so even if we were to run the race today, I don't feel certain we would last very long. With most of the younger, stronger, and smarter teams being eliminated early this season, it shows how even the playing field was. The fav teams this season have by far been the more eclectic to the everyday people types, so I'm sure we will see few or no "mactors" in TAR 13. How about a transvestite team this year..? I'd love to see them go up against a prissy blonde girl team.

It was great to finally meet you Bill, and the rest of the racers at the west coast finale party. I had more fun than I had expected. So many great fans and former contestants.

It's been a pleasure blogging with ya'll. (w/ a Dave & Mary accent)
Can't wait till for season 13!!!

This was a fantastic final episode. Alaska was amazing! The helicopter ride? Seriously!? Freakin awesome! I'm bummed for Nick and Gramps not grabbing the bag. Certainly you can make no mistakes in the final leg. That will surely haunt them for a long time.

I have no doubt that puzzle was tough. I can't remember many details during the race because it was such a blur of adrenaline, anxiety, excitement, etc. I was not surprised when they all struggled.

I can't believe it's over. I knew I wouldn't be dissappointed with whoever won. It was much less stressful to watch knowing that I liked the final 3 teams.
I will say for Season 13, it is obvious America and the shows International Viewers (Hey Phillipines, Canada, Australia, etc. we know you're out there watching!)they love the unique teams so I would say I hope we get more of them cast. The Goths, Gays, Witty Grandparents, Hippies, Clowns, Tough Old Ladies, etc. always become fan favorites so I hope World Race Productions can work less on casting "Model" teams or Dating Couples and bring in some more underdogs. (no offense James)

Well I'm signing off. Thanks to CBS for bringing me back, my fellow bloggers (especially those that actually blogged), the TARFlies, TWOP folks, S. Sucks bloggers, fans who have emailed and that I've met, and The Race Production Team for continually bringing the best show on Television!
Stay in touch everyone! My new gay travel show debuts online in March!
THE RACE RULES!

Hey Tom and Terry, sounds like a fun time WAS had by all.
Hello to Kynt and Vxysin!
The same here at TARcon west. Hung out with Jen and Nate, honestly, I guess I must say, "WRONG AGAIN!" These two are soooo sweet. Still a couple and completely over the moon about each other.
A great crowd in the OC more about the rest of the group later!
Thanks to Lynn and crew for their hard work, and Chip for his expert MC'ing capabilities.
Congrats all around to the final three and especially the winners TK and Rachel, now finally out in the open...the stealth winners of TAR, more than any other recent winners these two played a consistent ZEN like game....truly AMAZING!

Hi all! Terry here from Tom and Terry's Commentary:

Real quick thoughts for now. Will right more later.

So happy for TK and Rachel! As much as I liked the other two teams, I really wanted them to win. They really played the game just being civil to each other and having a good time.

It was nice to hang out with them at Tarcon East, as well as Jennifer (love her!), and dear Kynt and Vxysin.

It was also fun to watch the finale with Phil.

And a huge big thank you to all of the Tarcon east fans who were so nice to Tom and I regarding our blogging. Who knew??

That's all for now.
